INTIMATE WEDDING IN SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE

Abril and Chris celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Casa Adela. Most of the planning was done in collaboration with Abril’s mother, Alejandra, since the couple wanted to be surprised on their big day—a choice that highlighted the special bond Abril shares with her mother.

The celebration began with a lively callejoneada through Parque Juárez. The Estudiantina Band led the way as guests danced alongside the mojigangas. From there, everyone made their way toward the Parroquia and stopped at a cozy vegan spot on the corner, where they enjoyed flavorful vegan tacos and Don Taco Tequila’s famously spicy margaritas.

The following day, a romantic, personalized ceremony took place—something deeply meaningful to Abril. Blending both spiritual and religious traditions, the couple created a ceremony that was uniquely their own. Abril walked down the aisle holding a bouquet lovingly made by her mother earlier that morning.

Afterward, guests were treated to Guru’s signature mixology cocktails, crafted especially for the occasion, while heartfelt words from the mother of the bride set an emotional tone.

The celebration continued with a candlelit walk into Casa Adela’s enchanting courtyard, where tables adorned with soft pink florals created a warm, inviting atmosphere. For dinner, Abril envisioned something truly extraordinary, and Chef Jorge Avendaño of Salvajes Brasserie delivered—a 16-course tasting menu of exquisite small bites.

The night concluded with a vibrant party that beautifully blended the couple’s Latin heritage, bringing the perfect finale to an unforgettable celebration.
